This is a custom video. We followed the script as closely as possible but decided to add in the full ultrasound scene and labor/delivery for our wider audience.

The vlog starts off as a ‘weight-loss’ blog, and as the days pass, you realize you’re having odd symptoms, and come to the realization that you’re pregnant. This then turns the vlog into the exact opposite of it’s intent, which I think is kinda funny.
The main focus will be on your belly, and how you react to different situations. I’ll give you as specific instructions as I can.
Vlog Day 1: You open the vlog by saying hello, and your intention to video-log your weight loss journey. You’ll list your stats (weight, height, BMI, waist size, etc.) and your goals to meet at a certain point in time (“my intention is to lose 20 pounds in 3 months” for example…)
You can explain the steps you’ve already taken, like purchased things for protein shakes, established a daily work-out routine, and you’re really committed to shedding this weight, etc. etc.
You’ll show your current weight, as well as what your body looks like from several angles, “This is what I look like now…” kind of thing. (You shouldn’t have your belly big, or pushed out for this. Maybe even suck it in as best as you can.)
Towards the end, you’ll add a quick “Oh yeah, by the way…” and explain how your stomach for the past few days has been pretty upset, you’ve been puking for the past few mornings (essentially explain the symptoms of morning sickness) and you might have to postpone the vlog a bit to “get over this stomach bug”
You say some final words, and you turn the camera off.
Vlog Day 7: You greet the camera, introduce that it’s day 7 of the journey. You apologize for the absence, but there’s something that’s put a snag in your plans.
But before you can finish the sentence, you suddenly have the urge to throw up, and have to leave the camera briefly.
You come back and explain some symptoms you’re having. How the morning puking hadn’t stopped, you’ve had incredibly strange cravings (maybe even list some) and you’ve had the worst appetite and can’t help stuffing your face any chance you can. You went to the doctors yesterday, and he gave you some interesting news.
You’re hesitant to say the words, and you struggle a little to get them out, but you finally, after a sigh or two, say the words “I’m pregnant.”
You explain that a few months ago, you played around with some guy at a party, and something must have gone wrong, because now you “have a little one growing inside you” as you look down to your belly and gently place a hand on it.
You sigh again, as this whole scenario is still pretty shocking to you, but you can’t stop looking at your belly and rubbing it in disbelief.
You explain how this vlog will obviously no longer be a weight-loss journey, but a pregnancy-progress journey instead. You explain how you’re “Not really showing just yet,” as you stand and show a small belly (both with your shirt covering it and lift it up to show your bare belly as well) but you will keep us updated as the baby grows.
Vlog Day Month 6: You greet the camera as usual, and you announce it’s month 6 of your pregnancy. You’re beginning the third trimester, and “it is definitely showing.”
You explain how you got an ultrasound last week, and found out you’re having a [insert gender here] and you’re thrilled, as you rub your belly, now pushed out (not as far as you can, just a tad less. You’ll push it out as far as you can during the last vlog). You stand to show the camera how big you’ve gotten, both pulling your shirt so it’s hugging your belly, and then lifting it. While you do this, support your back with one hand, and your lower belly with the other.
You explain how your chest has gotten a bit sore, but the biggest symptom is your back hurting. You also explain some more odd cravings, and you pause mid-sentence, and wince a bit. You look down, placing a hand gently on your belly, and you laugh a bit, saying the baby kicked. You are VERY excited, as this is the first time this has happened. You even show us your belly, lifting your shirt, placing a hand where it kicked, to see if it will do it again.
You explain how you’re so excited to meet this baby, but he/she “still has some time to cook in here” or something along those lines.
Vlog Month 9: You greet the audience, and mention you’re in your final month, days away from delivery. The mood in this vlog is a bit miserable and exhausted, as you’re tired of carrying around this baby.
You stand, really struggling to get out of your chair (one hand on your back, belly out, slowly getting out of your chair). You show us your belly, (again, shirted, and then shirtless) one hand still supporting your back, the other rubbing your belly, completely pushed out (as big as you can get it.)
You continue talking, mentioning some symptoms (swollen feet, eating for two, aching back, sleepless nights from endless kicking) and you wince in pain mid-sentence, and groan a bit for a few seconds, clutching your belly. You begin panting a bit as this sharp pain passes, confused as to what’s happening. You announce to the camera that you think you felt a contraction, but the delivery isn’t set for another week. You “think the baby might be coming sooner than later” and you say you should leave to get ready. As you turn, you pause, and wince a bit, maybe moan or yell a bit, looking down and seeing a flood of water release. At this point you panic a bit, and claim you “really have to go now, my water just broke” and turn off the camera.
