Entering your apartment, sifting through mail maybe, just a normal day, etc, etc. You answer a phone call from your brother. Make up a fake conversation to start, talk about family, etc. but eventually he asks you for a massive favor. He and his wife are having trouble conceiving and were wondering if you’d be interested in helping them by being a surrogate for your niece or nephew. At first you laugh it off, thinking it might be a joke or a prank, but at some point you say something like “Wait, you’re serious? No way man…” You find excuses to refuse the offer (just started with a new trainer, trying to get fit, maybe you’re scared of how your social circle would feel about this whole thing, etc.), you tell him you’re immensely sorry but you have to decline.

(an extended reenactment of that mirror scene in Junior) You’re brushing your teeth in the bathroom or getting dressed in your bedroom and you pass a mirror. You do a double-take and look at your full figure. You flatten your shirt over your flat belly, pull your shirt tight around it. Rub your belly. Then you push it out just a little, and hold it. You’re imagining what your body would look like with a baby. You lift your shirt and push it out a little more. Admire it’s size. Then you push it out all the way and hold it like a pregnant woman would. You then go get a pillow and stuff if inside your shirt, entertaining the idea of carrying a baby. Your phone suddenly rings, and you quickly pull it out of your shirt and snap out of your daze.

It’s your brother on the phone. He apologizes for asking you to do such a huge thing, it was silly to bring it up. After some sighs and hesitation, you tell him after a lot of thinking, you’ve decided you want to do it. He tells you that’s amazing, you tell him he owes you one BIG time. You hang up, admire your figure one last time in the mirror, and maybe say something like “Goodbye, abs…”

You’re lying on the doctor’s table and the doctor instructs you to remove your pants and lift your shirt. You do as instructed. They then tell you to bend your legs and spread them. They lubricate your anus, which makes you jump from the cold. You say after a sigh “Yeah… I’m ready…” You feel something being inserted deep into you. You flinch and moan, maybe grasp the sides of the table, maybe release some swears and “ow”s with some heavy breathing. But after a few moments they say it was successful.

You’re on the phone with your brother, “pregnancy test” in hand and you tell him the good news. “Got your kid successfully cooking away in here…” You talk some more but get interrupted by a massive wave of nausea and end the conversation abruptly to go vomit.

(Still not padded for this, I would love to see you utilize as much of the model’s real belly for as long as possible) Ultrasound Scene, the doctor tells you everything seems to be going well. You are visibly nervous and uncomfortable, and not as eager to look at the screen. This is when reality really sets in and it hits you that you have an entire life growing inside you.

You’re pacing, biting your nails, nervous, a very visible belly bump now present (but still real belly) You stop dead in your tracks as you clutch your belly. Panicked, “Nooooo no no no no no….” you call your brother. “I can’t do this man, it’s fucking MOVING inside me!! I can feel it kicking and squirming, this is too fucking much man!” This new development has you panicked and rethinking everything. After some arguing with your brother, he reassures you it’s too late now. Angered and emotional, you tell him he owes you SO much for this.

I like the idea that you’re on the phone with your brother, telling him the baby is coming so much quicker than you anticipated, and you have to pull over. I love the panic, the volume of her screaming, and her struggling to take her pants off. I love the dialogue as well, and I’d love for you to match as much as you can (especially the “it’s out of me” or “I see the head” or announcing the water has broken). Something else I’d love to see is your bare feet against the windshield if you can manage that. But you painfully, panicked and loud, give birth to your brothers baby in the car.
