Devin is on the phone with a friend. He is telling the friend that it’s been tough getting over Austyn, even though it has been a few months. He thought he had found the love of his life, only to have the rug yanked from under him. He’s been drinking a lot to try to block it out, and even woke up in the arms of a stranger a couple weeks ago and they’d hooked up a couple more times . The conversation is interrupted by a knock on the door Austyn is standing there. He apologize for everything.

Devin is in the bathroom trying to finish getting ready for work. You see him struggle to button his pants. Devin’ alarm goes off and you see him open the drawer and pull out a pregnancy test.

Devin in the doctor’s office, J does an exam. Devin asks him a bunch of questions( see below for ideas). J has Devin listen to his stomach. J tells him he wants to run some routine blood work and do an ultrasound to see if he can figure out their due date. J tells him the baby is due October 14. J hands them a binder of information. Ultrasound. Devin is bare bellied and showing. The doctor tells them the baby is growing really nicely. Everything looks normal.

Devin is seen trying to get in the car, and going through a drive thru for some food. You see him rubbing his stomach complaining on how horrible his cravings are and how they must his this from Austyn .

Devin, Austyn and J are in your backyard doing maternity photos. They do a couple with shirt on, shirt off, holding baby shoes, after they find out having letters spelling out the name.  J tells him he has a surprise. You hand them a confetti cannon or if you want you can use a balloon and have them pop it. You grab photos and they find out they are having a ______.  Austyn tells him he has one more surprise. He picks the name that Devin wanted instead of his choice and has the letters printed out and you take a photo with them holding the letters up.( maybe have them pose for a Halloween invitation)

Devin is now 8 months pregnant and standing in a different bedroom.  Austyn walks in with the crib. They discuss paint colors. Devin is standing, rubbing his stomach. J asks him what he is thinking, Devin tells him he can’t believe in 1 month they will have a baby. They start talking about baby names. Austyn aks him if he has his emergency bag packed in case they end up at the hospital. Devin says no, Austyn tells he will help him. He hands Devin some items( shirt,pants, underwear, hair brush, toothbrush(bathroom items), fun shirts. Austyn guides Devin hand around his belly. Austyn marvels as he feels the baby moving. He tell him still seems so surreal to him that the two of them made a child. He says that he’s never been more in love with Devin than this moment and that this baby is “the fruit of that love.” Devin l squirms, uncomfortable under the weight of his secret. He starts to say that he needs to tell Austyn something but Austyn interrupts him.

Devin is pacing around the kitchen, hand on his belly, having a bit of an anxiety attack. The weight of his secret is crushing him. He muses out loud what’s the worst case scenario? He concludes Austyn could leave him, the baby is another man’s who he doesn’t love, and he’s left a single father. Devin stops in pain. He feels a contraction. But it’s too early… they still have another few weeks. Another contraction. He calls for Austyn , panicked, who rushes in, concerned. He takes Devin off screen to go to the hospital is checking Devin out. It was a false alarm, much to the couple’s relief. J list off some items Devin should avoid doing in order to avoid an early labor. 

Last thing on the list is to relax, and eliminate as much stress as possible. High anxiety could really harm the baby. He tells Austyn that right before they got back together, he had a fling with someone… it meant nothing, and he was doing it to try to get over Austyn. Austyn tries to calm Devin down, saying that it’s ok, it was before they were together again and not important. Devin says no he doesn’t get it… the timing of it all.. there’s a chance that this baby isn’t his . Austyn is shocked, absorbing the magnitude of what Devin has just said. Devin asks him to say something. Austyn says it’s a lot to take in. Devin  nods, and says he understands if this is it for them. But Austyn cuts him off, sitting down on the hospital bed and grabbing hold of Devin’ hand. He tells him that it’ll be ok… they’ll get a paternity test so they can have peace of mind… and whatever the result he isn’t going anywhere. Emotional, they embraced come in and ask if he is ready for the amniocenteses( see article attach ) ( basically sticking a needle in his stomach while doing an ultrasound)

Devin is setting up Halloween items for their Halloween party. Austyn comes in and ask how it is going. Devin says slow, Austyn notices that all the candy is gone. Austyn rubs his stomach and reminds him of the baby gets to big he will have a hard time delivering it.  Austyn tells him he got a baby pumpkin for him to hold for a photo shoot. ( maybe have him paint a pumpkin on his belly, or trying on Halloween costumes)

Devin is now 7 days past his due date. Austyn ells him if he doesn’t have the baby by tomorrow they will have to go to the hospital for an induction. Devin ask him if he has any ideas, Austyn tells him sex sometimes help, walking, squatting. They head off to the bed room

Halloween – Devin is seen handing out candy when Austyn comes up behind him. Austyn kisses his neck and rubs his stomach. Devin snaps at him to stop. Devin is now in labor and having a hard time. You see him pacing the room. Devin gets a strong contraction and begs J to make it stop. J tells him to lean into Austyn and if necessary he can squat, but not to push until he checks him. Devin ask Austyn to help him to the bathroom and you hear his water break in the bathroom. J helps him get  back into the bed. J checks him and tells him he is at 7 cm and he is doing great. J tells him he is going to check on the baby with the stethoscope and Devin blood pressure. Devin asks Austyn for a drink and to help him cool off it’s too hot in here for him. Devin also asks him to light the candles close to the blinds so it’s more calmer. Devin starts to push, on his side, Devin tells him he isn’t comfortable. You see Austyn rub his belly, but Devin asks him to stop. Devin is seen struggling with pushing.  J tells him he has to give him 2 strong pushes and the head will be out.  Devin does, but J tells him the baby isn’t moving down and he needs to focus and he is going to help him out. J tells Devin this might sting for a minute, but it will help, you see J grab a needle to help numb him down there.Devin winces. J tells him to push. Devin does and the baby comes out after 3 pushes, you see J grab a towel next to him, the baby doesn’t cry right away. Devin starts asking why, you hear j tell him the baby isn’t breathing well on its own and give him a minute, after a minute the baby starts to cry. J handed him the baby. J tells him to lay back he has to push on his stomach to help stop the bleeding.  Devin winces in pain. Austyn kiss Devin and tells him this is the best Halloween ever. j gives him an envelope; this envelope came for him . Austyn grabs the envelope and rips it up and goes to throw it in the bathroom trash. He tells Devin to get some rest and he will watch the baby. You see Devin closes his eyes and you see Austyn sneaks back into the bathroom to see the results. You see him smile and tell the baby he always knew he was the father.

Devin is in the nursery. He is feeding their baby. Austyn walks in. He tells Devin he has a surprise for him and the baby. He tells Devin to close his eyes and he lays a key in his hands. Austyn tells Devin how much he loves him and how happy he is. He tells him he decided that this house is going to be their house. You see them cuddling and talking about the future .
