This is a submitted script and some changes have been made in the final product.

The scene opens with Jessie coming over to meet Doctor Smith, a hello and great to have you as Dr.Smith . Dr. Smith asks Jessie if he’s settling in fine, he says he’s doing great, that he lucked out and had some old college friends that let him crash at their place while Jessie’s here for work, and he barely had to walk 5 minutes to get here (Walking distance becomes important later). and asks if he’s ready to go over the script for the first video. Jessie says yeah, he’s settling in and he’s ready to shoot whenever. Dr. Smith asks Jessie to follow him to the living room to go over how the whole deals going to play out.

The two move the living to room to talk more about what the first video is going to entail: A hypnosis video. Dr. Smith tells Jessie that we’re going to be shooting a few videos while he’s here but to start we’re going to do test the waters with the hypnosis video, grabs his necklace and sits back down with Jessie explaining how he’s going to hypnotize Jessie. Before he can go any further Jessie is a little surprised that THAT’s where they’re starting today’s shoot.

Dr. Smith asks if somethings wrong and Jessie tells Dr.Smith something along the lines of,

“Its nothing, its just all that swinging watches and “look into my eeeeeeeyeees” stuff-that’s the kind of stuff you only really see on TV and make your gullible friends do crazy stuff on stage like at county fairs and stuff. Its just kinda ridiculous you know?”

Dr.Smith tells Jessie its fine, not everyone believes it works at first, and that he’s not the first to be skeptical but he has a knack for making them come around in the end.

Jessie becomes a bit curious about what Dr. Smith means

“…at first? What do you mean? What, you gonna try to hypnotize me for real?”

Dr. Smith tells him yeah, he tells Jessie that before starting the site he was and still is a hypnotist.

Jessie tells him something along the lines of,

“no disrespect but if you want to make a career out of making people think their cured of smoking problems and stuff that’s cool but that stuff just isn’t real.”

He tells Dr.Smith when he signed up, besides he thought he’d be pretending to be hypnotized-not having Dr.Smith try to pull a “magic necklace” on him.

Dr. Smith tells him hypnotism is in fact real, and like he said-he’s met skeptics before and he’s changed their minds. He offers to show Jessie what he means and offers to put him to under to show him it is real and Jessie refuses at first but Dr.Smith gets him to go along with it by saying,

“Its not some magic spell Jessie, besides you said it yourself its not real.”

Jessie eventually complies with a “I mean, you can try. But I’m telling you-its just bullshit.”

Dr.Smith decides he’s going to need to bring out the big guns here, and plants Jessie in front of his TV. Jessie, cocky about the whole thing asks Dr. Smith,

“What? No magic necklace?”

Dr.Smith tells him all he’s gotta do is watch the screen…and listen. The TV switches on and a spiral envelopes the flatscreen.

(As Dr. Smith talks, the camera is facing Jessie’s from the chest up. As the induction goes on, Jessie’s expression goes from cocky, to relaxed, to going slack jawed-eyes blankly staring, mouth falling open, and just completely and utterly gone.)

“Okay Jessie, I want you to look at the very center of the spiral. Notice how smoothly the colors sail across the screen, how everything just gets pulled into the center., like water gently circling a drain. I want you keep your eyes on the center of the spiral and as you do-I want you to feel the tension in your shoulders, all the stress and tightness from being cramped in a plane for hours…feel as it all gets pulled into the spiral’s center. As your shoulders relax, that wonderful feeling begins to move from the back of your neck, to the muscles in your chest as the spiral just takes the stress and tension away. The relaxation moves into your arms, and you feel all those anxious, stress ridden thoughts begin to leave you as well. The spiral gets stronger now…You begin to feel it pull at your arms, from your wrists to your fingertips… like it’s trying to invite you into its center…the spiral tugs on you-on your arms, raising your arms up, suspending them, suspending you…now.

(Jessie, still locked on the spiral raises his arms up to the screen in a zombie like state and continues to stare ahead. Jessie’s neck relaxes and his head leans back.)

Good…it can’t pull you in, you’re too big. Too strong. But your mind is slipping away from you, getting pulled into the spiral more and more as that feeling finds its way into your legs…your calves, your feet…to the tips of your toes. You can’t think, you won’t think, you don’t need to think. As the spiral pulls you in completely…you only need to listen to my words. Do you understand?”

(Entranced, Jessie says a dreamy “Yes…”)

When I say the word “muscles” you will immediately return to this state of relaxation, take off a piece of clothing, and once that piece hits the floor-you’ll immediately come out of this state.

When I shake your hand, you’ll immediately begin to relax and you can’t help but agree with me. As long as I have your hand, I will literally have you in my grip-you will give in to everything I say.

When I snap my fingers, you will return to this state and your muscles will feel like they’re frozen, unable to move unless I move them. When I snap my fingers again-you will return to normal with no memory of what happened.

Now I’m going to bring you out of this trance, you won’t remember being hypnotized. You won’t remember being given triggers. But for reasons you can’t describe, the moment I mention anything about the spiral, you will be drawn to the idea of watching this spiral and when you do-you will immediately fall back under its power and return to this state. Do you understand Jessie?

(Jessie says “yes” as gone as before.)

“Excellent…Now wake up!”

(Dr.Smith switches off the TV and immediately brings his hands down on Jessie’s shoulders, shocking him out of his trance.)

Jessie comes too, confused and wondering what he’s doing in front of the TV. Dr.Smith tells him he hates to admit it but he just couldn’t hypnotize Jessie, Jessie wants to believe it but he doesn’t remember why happened and tries to play if off and getting back to the subject of the video-says he can still try to pretend for the video. Dr. Smith agrees but before they start the shoot, Dr.Smith starts talking about how impressed he is with Jessie’s muscles. Setting off Jessie’s first trigger, Dr. Smith continues asking about his workout and how after seeing some of the talent that come through here how much he really wants to get back into the gym and build some muscle of his own. All the while, Jessie comes in and out trying to remember what he was talking about, getting back in the conversation only to be triggered again and again-getting more confused each time.

(Jessie will begin stripping starting with his shirt, then moving down to his pants, and if consenting underwear last. Dr. Smith and Jessie are free to determine how many times and in what fashion the trigger is used.)

After getting Jessie down to Dr. Smith’s choosing and Jessie’s level of consent, Dr. Smith asks Jessie what he’s doing in his underwear and Jessie is a little confused at this point. No longer trying to play it down and begins asking if that hypnotizing stuff-did it actually work? Could it work? Dr.S mith tells Jessie,

“I don’t know, did it?” and snaps his fingers, freezing Jessie like a statue.

(From here, Dr. Smith worships Jessie’s muscles and belly button at the fashion and extent of his choosing. Posing Jessie however he likes while he talks about Jessie and the others.)

“You know, I did warn you. Like I did the guy before you, and the guy before him. But you guys just keep testing me on this. I’d get you guys to see it my way, but then we wouldn’t have shoots like this, now would we?

(Right after saying “give”, Dr.Smith remembers he has one more trigger up his sleeve.)

Leaving Jessie in a pose, he snaps his fingers and unfreezes Jessie who is getting agitated by what’s happening and decides its better if he leaves. Dr.Smith tries to convince him to stay but Jessie is determined to get out as soon as possible, picking up his clothes in the process and getting at least his pants on. Dr.Smith gives and decides fine-if he wants to leave, he can. But before he goes, they should shake on it.

Jessie, agitated decides to give shake before making for the door and once he does-the trigger gets him immediately. Jessie begins to relax, Dr.Smith tightens his grip and tells Jessie to “Look into my eyeeeeeeees, Jessie” (A fun little throwback to Jessie’s snark earlier) and Jessie can’t help but comply, his eyes transfixed on Dr.Smith’s,

“Jessie, I’ll let you leave. But not now, you will stay here until I let you go. Understand?”

(Jessie, gone-can only tell him “Yes”.)

“Good, now we’re gonna have a bit of fun Jessie, you’re going to act like a zombie. You’ll drool and walk with your arms straight like in the movies. And you’ll keep going until I tell you to stop, do you understand?”

“…Yes…”

(Doctor Smith has Jessie walk down the hall as a zombie and directs Jessie to walk back to the living room where this all started.)

Once Jessie has zombie walked to the living room, Dr. Smith tells Jessie he’s doing well and then has him worship his own body, act like a dog, hug and kiss his cheek, beg Dr. Smith to touch his belly button and nipples, clean the house, etc.

(While Jessie is frozen in this zombie state, Dr.Smith worships Jessie’s muscles and belly button and moves Jessie freely. Possibly does a once over with the camera over Jessie’s hypnotized form, takes a pic for the site’s thumbnail-go nuts.)

“One of a kind Jessie…but its about time to get back to work but first lets bring you in and out of the trance and watch you fall.”

Dr.Smith snaps his fingers bringing Jessie out of this trance. Jessie, just dazed-asks what is going on. Dr.Smith tells him we’ve been shooting the video, and it’s going real well. Jessie is confused about why his clothes are off, why he keeps ending up in different parts of the house, why he’s drooling, and why he feels like he’s slept the whole day away. Dr. Smith tries to tell Jessie it’s because of their shoot but Jessie just isn’t sure of anything anymore and begins to put his clothes back on and tells Dr.Smith its probably a good idea for him to go. Dr.Smith tell him he’s overreacting and things are going fine, he wastes no time and grabs Jessie’s hand, tells him to look into his eyes putting Jessie under Dr.Smith’s influence once more.

“You’re doing just fine, got nothing to worry about. Don’t leave just yet, okay?”

“…Yes.”

“Now take your clothes off and sit down like we did earlier today. When I tell you you’ll be hypnotized for the video, you won’t resist and you’ll even want to be hypnotized. You will remember none of this, do you understand?”

Jessie says “yes” one last time and the scene cuts back to when Dr.Smith and Jessie were talking about the video(In whatever state of undress Jessie is in) , Jessie this time agreeing and wanting to be hypnotized at the very mention of the necklace or the spiral. Dr.Smith enjoying the more cooperative turn of events will tell him to relax and instead of his necklace, he asks Jessie to watch the TV. Jessie excited to start begins to watch the spiral as it plays on the TV, Dr.Smith lets it slip that this is going a lot better than “last time”

Jessie asks what he means by “last time” or tries too. As the last trigger hooks Jessie, the spiral hypnotized Jessie before he can get any answers to his question. Going from excited, to confused, to gone.

From the same perspective Jessie was put under, Dr. Smith comes up behind Jessie’s shoulder and asks Jessie if he can hear him, to which Jessie can only answer “…Yes.”

Dr.Smith remembers Jessie talk about college roommates, and asks Jessie if he’d say they’re the jockish, athletic type…to which Jessie answers “…Yes.” Once again. Dr.Smith tells the zonked Jessie that the shoot will need more people and decides…Jessie should bring his friends over so they all do the video together. But realizes if he sends Jessie out like normal they might not come over…so let’s get bold, lets make them storm over here.

“Jessie, we need some more talent here and you’re going to help me. Exactly as you are…as the hypnotized zombie you are, I want you to walk all the way back home chanting “I obey Dr.Smith” over and over, and when your friends see you-you’re going to wake up. And when you do, you’re going to do everything in your power to bring them to me here. Do you understand?”

“…Yes.”

“Excellent…now go.”

Jessie begins chanting “I obey Dr.Smith” over and over as he begins to zombie walk away from the spiral through the living room, to the door and out with Dr.Smith following behind to open the door for Jessie. As Jessie walks out, Dr.Smith just watches Jessie leave, has a good chuckle and says,

“See you soon.”
