This is a custom video we produced for one of our amazing CPR friends. Here is the script he wrote and we followed it as closely as possible:

The guy is volunteer, who takes part in in two experiments: the testing of new general anesthesia and forced cardiac arrest. At first the guy passes medical exam, then the experiments begin, but they become unsuccessful. As a result the guy founds himself in the reanimation.

Episode 1. Medical exam
The guy comes to the doctor to take a full medical examination. First, the guy fully dressed. You begin with the examination of what the pulse is measured at your patient. Then you ask him to undress completely. The guy is standing only in his briefs.
You ask a guy to raise his hands up. Then you measure the volume of breast guys with full exhalation and full inhalation.
After that you start to listen to his heartbeat and breathing. You ask a guy to make a few deep breaths and then hold his breath. You listen to his breath from the chest and from behind. All the time your patient should stand facing the camera.
In order to compare the patient’s condition at rest and under stress, you ask the guy to run on a treadmill for several minutes. Then again, you listen to his breathing and heartbeat. In this episode you should record a guy’s heartbeat.
Finally you inform the guy that he is completely fit for experiments.

Episode 2. Tests of general anesthesia
The guy is in the laboratory. He is laying on the table in his briefs only. The doctor puts the device for measuring blood pressure at the guy’s arm and attaches electrodes to the guy’s chest. Experiment begins. The doctor injects a soporific drug to the patient’s hand. To pound medicine guy should take a few deep breaths. After that the doctor asks the patient to count from 10 to 1 and then the guy falls asleep. The doctor attaches a mask on the guy’s face. Then the doctor needs to check the condition of the patient under general anesthesia. The doctor checks the blood pressure, listens to the heartbeat. Then the doctor needs to bring the guy from under anesthesia. He makes him a special injection, delivers oxygen through a mask. After a while the guy wakes up. The doctor is interested in his well-being. Next, the experiment should be repeated, but the patient intubated in the end. The doctor repeats manipulation, which he did in the first case. But after the mask doctor intubates the patient. After intubation the doctor checks the patient’s condition and discovers that guy’s heart stopped. Resuscitation begin. During resuscitation the guy remains intubated all the time. During resuscitation the doctor uses a defibrillator, chest compressions, artificial respiration using a bag through a tube into the patient’s mouth, injections into the heart. After a few minutes of resuscitation the pulse appears, the patient regains consciousness.

Episode 3. Cardiac arrest
The guy is lying on the table. He is wearing only briefs. There are electrodes on his chest. Before cardiac arrest patient should be put to sleep. The doctor puts on the guy’s face transparent mask (I mean here’s this one), which is fed through knockout gas. The guy makes a few very deep breaths and then goes to sleep. The experiment begins. The doctor checks the pulse, listen to breathing and heartbeat. Then he uses a defibrillator to stop the heart of the patient. Guy’s heart stops, there comes a clinical death. The doctor is waiting for a little more than a minute and then begins to resuscitate the patient using a defibrillator, ambu bag and chest compressions. Guy’s heart begins to beat. But patient doesn’t come to his senses, his brain is damaged, the patient goes into a coma, he must be placed in intensive care.

Episode 4. In the ICU
The patient is in the intensive care. He’s in a coma. There is an endotracheal tube in his mouth. There are electrodes on his chest. There is an apparatus for measuring blood pressure on his arm. Attach tube with tape. His body was covered with a sheet to the lower abdomen. The patient is connected to the artificial ventilation of the lungs. Suppose for 3 – 4 of minutes the guy’s chest rises and falls evenly, imitating the work of a respirator. The doctor does nothing at this time. There is only the patient is connected to the machine in the frame. You can make some close-ups of faces and the patient’s chest. The doctor appears. Looking at the monitor, he discovers that the patient has no pulse. His heart stopped some time ago.
The doctor begins resuscitation. He uses a defibrillator, chest compressions, artificial respiration. Oxygen is fed through a tube into the patient’s mouth. Resuscitation lasts more than five minutes, but it does not give results. The doctor says the patient’s death. Then the doctor covers the patient’s body with the sheet.
