Tate with Dr. Smith

CPR

23 min.

This is a custom video and some changes have been made to the script below.

Episode 1. Electric trauma

Tate is repairing the defibrillator when he gives a short shout; his body begins to shake. Tate is falling on the floor. His body is convulsing. Foam starts to flow from his mouth. Then convulses have stopped, the guy makes last breath, his heart has stopped.

Hearing some noise, Dr. Smith has run into the room. Discovering the repairman on the gurney without consciousness, he checked pulse on his neck. No pulse. Dr. Smith is cutting the guy’s T-short with scissors, exposing his body, and begin to do simple resuscitated actions. Dr. Smith makes cardiac massage and mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration.

After several minutes of resuscitation, the guy’s heart has not beaten yet. Dr. Smith real-ized that the guy needs to use more effective methods of resuscitation.

Episode 2. In the operating room

The patient is laying on the operating table without consciousness. Dr. Smit is undressing him completely (socks on feet are not allowed!). The doctor uses ambu bag, defibrillator, cardiac massage. Please shoot from different angles: the patient’s body completely, top view, close-ups of the face and chest.

It will be very sexy, if during all resuscitation, the guy’s mouth will be ajar, and his head is turned to the camera.

In several minutes of resuscitation, the guy’s heart starts to beat, he’s regaining conscious-ness. The guy asks: “What’s happened?” Dr. Smith answers that he was electrocuted and had a cardiac arrest. Dr. Smith asks how he is feeling now? The patient says that he feels good and tries to stand up.

Dr. Smith says: “Please, wait. Lay calm. I must check your condition to see if the electrical current has caused any injury”. Dr. Smith listens to guy’s heart, his breathing with stethoscope. He asks the patient to breathe deeply. Then the doctor is making a palpation of all patient’s body. When Dr. Smith touched a knee, the guy begins to scream because of he has felt severe pain. Then Dr. Smith conducts an ultrasound, which revealed a big problem in the knee. Only surgery can solve this problem. Dr. Smith has scheduled it for tomorrow. 2

Episode 3. The surgery

The guy is standing near the operating table. He wears a hospital shirt and a special hos-pital cap (you can use a shower cap, for example). The doctor appears, he greets the guy and says: “Let’s begin”.

The patient is laying down on the table. The doctor pulls off his hospital shirt so that it covers the body of the guy below the navel, in the genital area. The doctor attaches electrodes on the patient’s chest, puts a pressure measuring device on his hand, puts a dropper on the other hand.

Now the patient should to be immersed in deep anesthesia.

The doctor applies the transparent mask to the patient’s face, through which the sleeping gas is supplied. The patient takes several deep breaths. Please do not remove the mask from the patient’s face when he exhales. Here I want to listen to the sound of entry and exhalation through the mask. After several deep breaths and exhalations, the doctor asks the guy to breath normally and count to ten. The mask is still on the patient’s face in this time. The guy could only count to eight and passed out.

The doctor removes the mask from the patient’s face and then intubates him. An intubat-ing tube he fixes by a plaster. In addition, the doctor attaches a plaster to both eyes of the patient. For example, like here:

Next the doctor switches the respirator on. The guy’s chest is slow rising and falling. Here our model should not breathe too deep, he should breathe a little deeper than usually.

The surgery has begun. It’s clear that to show surgery procedures is impossible. For this reason, the doctor performs his work behind the scenes. Currently we observe only the patient on the respirator. Within a few minutes, show the guy from different angles. Please make some close-ups of his chest, his face.

Episode 4. After the surgery

The surgery has finished successfully. As a result, we see the guy’s bandaged knee. It’s time to withdraw the patient from anesthesia.

The doctor switches the respirator off, removes the plaster from guy’s eyes, removes the intubating tube. Then the doctor applies the transparent oxygen mask to the patient’s face. Af-ter a while the guy starts to come around, he slowly opens his eyes.

The doctor listens to breath and heart beating, looks over his pupils.

Suddenly the guy breathing quickens sharply. He takes a few quick breaths and then takes one last breath, a loud exhalation and loses consciousness. Please try to make the last exhalation as noisy as possible.

The guy’s heart stopped. Dr. Smith begins resuscitation. He uses cardiac massage, ambu bag and defibrillator. After a few minutes of resuscitation, the patient’s heart starts. But he does 3

not regain consciousness and cannot breathe on his own. Dr. Smith intubates the guy and con-nects him to a respirator.

The patient is connected to the respirator. There is only guy in the frame for several minutes, the doctor does nothing. Please, in this episode, set the camera so as to get such shoot-ing angles (not sideways horizontally):

In few minutes Dr. Smith is appearing. He is checking of patient condition (he listens to the heartbeat, check the pulse on the carotid artery, check the pupils and so on).

After a while the doctor noticed that the guy’s heart stopped again. The doctor begins to resuscitate him. The patient is intubated at this time.

The doctor throws back the patient’s head, for this, put under the guy’s neck something like a pillow, so that his head was thrown back all the time of the episode. The doctor uses several times a defibrillator, ambu bag and cardiac massage again.

The doctor’s efforts do not bring results, then he decides to try to use a long-lasting elec-tric shock. Several times he takes the electricity through the electrodes fixed on the guy’s chest. During each electric shock, the patient’s chest is raised for a long time. This method helped. After a few electrical shocks the patient’s heart begins to beat again. But the guy is still in a coma.

Dr. Smith decides to stimulate the guy’s brain with electricity. He attaches electrodes to the patient’s forehead and supplies electricity through them several times. But this procedure caused the heart to stop again.

The doctor removes the electrodes from the patient’s head and tries to revive him for the last time. The doctor applies artificial respiration and cardiac massage for a few minutes. His ef-forts were not in vain. The patient’s heart began to beat, he began to breathe on his own and opened his eyes.
